Ayatollah Khomeini (RA) issued a fatwa declaring sex-change operation permissible? What is your view on this? Is this action permissible?

Answer:

We do not have knowledge about any such fatwa by His Excellency. Other ulema and jurists do not allow such an act at all, nor in our view is such an act correct according to Shariah. Such an act would be categorized as Deformation of Allah’s Creatures (تغير خلق الله), which is an act attributed to devil: “Do not deform Allah’s creatures.” (وليغيرن خلق الله)
